Want us to build the box?
We're building our first household kit now. The Ready Check is showing us what Australian households are actually missing, so the box can fill those gaps and nothing else.
No survivalist junk. No 25-year bucket of mystery food.
Questions
Sensible questions.
Is this a prepper website?
No. It is household admin for disruptions that already happen: storms, outages, floods, bushfires and service failures.
Why 72 hours?
It is a useful starting framework used in many preparedness programs. Australian guidance varies by state, territory and hazard, and some authorities recommend longer.
Do I need special food?
Usually not. Start with shelf-stable food your household already eats and can use with limited cooking, water or refrigeration.
Is the score government advice?
No. The Ready Check is our own transparent prioritisation tool. It is not a government certification or rating.
What about medications?
Plan with your pharmacist or clinician. Needs vary, so we never ask for medication names or diagnoses.
Are you selling a kit?
Not yet. We are building our first household kit now, and the Ready Check is helping us understand what Australian households are actually missing.
